OUR STORY

From conquerin' competitions to feedin' hungry folks from a food truck and then running a humble barbecue joint that just happened to sell gas, Ray, aka Fatguy, has been on a wild smokin' ride. For decades, he dreamt of creating a place he could call home to his award-winning low and slow-smoked meats. A place that feels like home – where everyone is welcome, and friends and families gather, relax, and create lasting memories over a hearty, home-cooked meal.

After careful planning and support from business partner Daniel Annenkoff, owner of Munch, friends, and loved ones, Fatguy's dream of opening a home-style restaurant became a reality. Now he's smokin' low and slow at Fatguy Southern Kitchen in the heart of Lascassas, Tennessee, the community he calls home.

When you visit Fatguy Southern Kitchen, you're not just coming to get something to eat, you're coming home. Our home: where families and friends gather to share good food and good times, wrapped up in old-fashioned Southern hospitality.

From the moment you pull up the drive, you feel the warmth of Southern hospitality as the aroma of smoked goodness hollers at you to come on in. Fatguy's award-winning low and slow-smoked meats, like brisket, pulled pork, and ribs, are cooked to finger-lickin' perfection, and longing for a heaping mouth-watering Southern side like Fatguy smoked beans, turnip greens, taters, and cornbread. Each one made with love using time-tested recipes and sprinkled with a bit of Fatguy magic.

Fatguy Southern Kitchen: More than a restaurant – it's a little taste of home. So, gather up, head over to taste what it feels like to be welcomed and well-fed.
