After earning a reputation for serving quality smoked meats and sides from its previous home in a Murfreesboro gas station, pitmaster Ray Clark has relocated his local barbecue business’s base of operations to Lascassas.
OUR STORY
From conquerin' competitions to feedin' hungry folks from a food truck to runnin' a humble barbecue joint that just happened to sell gas, Ray, aka Fatguy, has been on a wild smokin’ ride.
For decades, Fatguy dreamed of havin’ a place to call home to his award-winning low and slow smoked meats and Southern favorites. That dream came true in November 2022 with the openin’ of Fatguy Southern Kitchen, right in the heart of Lascassas, Tennessee, the community he loves and calls home.
From the minute you pull up the drive, smell the kind of smokin’ goodness hollers at you to c’mon in and grab a plate. Brisket, pork, and ribs smoked to finger-lickin’ perfection are just waitin’ for a heapin' pile of Southern sides like Fatguy smoked beans, taters, turnip greens, and cornbread. Every dish is made with love, seasoned with tradition, and sprinkled with a little Fatguy magic.
